While this animal welfare newsletter probably isn’t my best
creative work, I did design, write and edit it, essentially making the whole thing. The theme
for that month’s newsletter was birds, hence the cover page and articles.
This structure is Gwanghwamun, a gate at Gyeongbokgung
Palace. While its overall structure is rather grand, I found the little details
in the textures, patterns and paintings in the ceiling to be more interesting. The
intricate designs on the wooden beams are very impressive, especially since the
gate was first built in 1395.
I took this photo recently when I was in China. As it was
winter over there, the plum blossoms were in bloom. Even though it was raining
that day, the scene of the plum blossoms was still beautiful.
